When one of the largest transportation organizations in the world needed to implement Enterprise Architecture and Business Continuity Management software, they turned to Seneca Resources. We deployed Systems Development and Integration services to get their teams up to speed. Our role included:
- Configure comprehensive solutions meeting the requirements of the IT organization for Application Portfolio Management (APM) and Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery planning
- Integrate new modules with existing ServiceNow modules and datasets
- Migrate data for 1,500 applications from legacy EA system
- Deliver training of APM and BCM module user groups on application functionality
What We Delivered
With Seneca’s help the organization saw successful software implementations company wide. Using Agile methodology, we delivered solutions that automated spreadsheet-based business processes and replaced their legacy information management systems. Specifically, we delivered the following:
- Replaced client’s Alphabet EA System with ServiceNow’s APM enabling data‑driven decisions on whether to invest, sustain, or replace applications
- Implemented APM utilizing an Agile-based approach. Sprints addressed: Workshops, Architecture, Sprint Planning, CMDB, Business Application Setup, Technology Map setup, PPM Impacts, Application Scoring, ITSM Integration, Service Catalog and Reporting, Data Conversion, UAT and Training
- Implemented MaestroRS (now ServiceNow BCM) to replace spreadsheet and document-based DR planning workflows
- Implemented MaestroRS utilizing an Agile-based approach. Sprints addressed: Requirements, Design & Configuration, Prototype I & II, Data Conversion, UAT, and Training
